Do you know Campiello del Remer, Corte Morosina, Corte Nuova, Campo dei Mori, Carampane? If you don’t, you’ve got to see them, as they’re among the most secret and picturesque corners of the city. Visiting Venice isn’t just about looking at the façade of St. Mark’s Basilica or the Doge’s Palace, it’s much more than that. It’s about trying to understand the square and its importance to the city, but also about discovering the labyrinth of narrow streets and romantic squares, the beautiful wells and marvellous palaces along the canals in Venice’s six “sestieri” (districts). And the “nizioletti”? Have you ever heard of them? These are the names of Venice’s alleyways, the Venetian place names; each hides a trade, a story, a legend or the name of an important Venetian family. I decided to become a tour guide in 2007 because I love Venice, its history, its artistic treasures, its traditions, its Lagoon, and I’d like to share with you, through my guided tours, my admiration and passion for this dream city, and leave you with the desire to return. See you soon!
