Tour guide in Berlin

Informal guide

I am a native Berliner with a keen interest in history since my childhood days in a then still divided city. My guiding career I started at age 20 in 1995, and have been working full time as independent professional local tour guide continously since 1999. Not a stone has been left unturned in Berlin since I started guiding. A city of history, art and architecture. A traveller’s paradise. Join me in exploring the key sights and go beyond them as well. In over 20 years of intensive self-study I have acquired a sound knowledge of German history and am expert at presenting Berlin and the neighbouring former second royal Prussian residence town of Potsdam. I hold official guide licences for the main halls of the Pergamon Museum and for several palaces. I act as private guide for discerning individual travellers as well as for student, corporate and travel groups and can hire limousines (I can also drive them myself – holding the required extra licence) and coaches on request, but also conduct walking tours and include select palaces, memorials and museums in my carefully designed itineraries. My other main interests are films, psychology and Argentine tango. I have a special affinity for Anglo-American culture, but also love French and Spanish language and culture. I have basic knowledge of these languages. Please contact me at any time for a free quote and any additional information that you may require.
