My name is Mustafa Kemal, I’m from Istanbul.
I learned French at Saint Joseph High School in Istanbul.
I’m a lawyer by training, having graduated from the Istanbul Faculty of Law.
Since childhood, I have always been driven by the values of Liberty, Secularism, and Democracy. It is for these reasons, particularly freedom of expression, that I later chose my career as a guide, also attending the official guide school of the Ministry of Culture.
I love helping people discover my country, sharing my experiences with anecdotes, meeting people, and living in the moment.
I’m not a dream seller, nor do I claim to know everything. I listen to my clients, adapting to them by creating a real dialogue, an enriching exchange for both parties.
My excursions are very varied and enthusiastic, far from the crowds and the usual clichés.
Istanbul is a dynamic city, a legendary city that preserves well-hidden treasures that it only reveals to locals and travelers who know how to venture off the beaten track.
Living in Istanbul isn’t enough to know it; you have to experience Istanbul with its past and present.
It is the only city in the world that was the capital of three different empires:
– Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire, and Ottoman Empire.
It is also the only city in Europe divided into two continents: Asia and Europe by the Bosphorus.
Istanbul is a city of contrasts, on one side very Western, on the other very Middle Eastern, a Turkish-style coexistence!
A very cosmopolitan city in its cuisine too. There’s not only the kebab culture here; for bon vivants, Istanbul is also a treasure trove of delicious, varied, and succulent dishes, a true treasure trove!
Since the beginning of my career in 1987, I have taken several tours across my country: sometimes in Cappadocia in a hot air balloon basket, sometimes aboard a schooner in the coves of the Aegean Sea, sometimes in a mosque in Konya, sometimes in Ephesus, an ancient city…
These perpetual discoveries of Turkey’s nature and history have allowed me to share the beauty of these magical and captivating places with my French-speaking friends.
